Erik Brady: Derek Plante scored the only Game 7 winner in Buffalo Sabres history – so far

The Sabres have played in seven previous Game 7s – and have won only once. That came when Derek Plante's unassisted slap shot beat Ottawa Senators goalie Ron Tugnutt to clinch 1997's first-round series in overtime.
