Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally’s first game playing together exemplifies New York Liberty growing pains
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">NEW YORK — There was a familiar sight less than three minutes into the New York Liberty’s Sunday matinee against the Dallas Wings. <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.basketball-reference.com/wnba/players/i/ionessa01w.html?utm_medium=linker&utm_source=www.theixsports.com&utm_campaign=2026-05-25_bbr">Sabrina Ionescu</a> played with a verve on the offensive end that got her team going.</p> <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Sunday afternoon was her first regular season game of the season after she suffered a preseason foot injury on the same foot where she sustained a third degree ankle sprain to begin her pro career in 2020.</p>
